Liverpool have reportedly held “several meetings” about signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
The 23-year-old has already signalled his intention to leave the Ligue 1 champions at the end of the current season.
PSG may want to cash in on him now, though, and let him leave in the January transfer window for a fee rather than let him go for nothing in the summer.
Barcelona are heavy favourites for his signature with the Spanish Liga club even issuing a statement saying no deal is in place to sign him.
According to French news L’Equippe, Liverpool are monitoring his situation and are ready to pounce for the France international.
Jurgen Klopp and his team have held “several meetings” about the player and it is possible these meetings could have been held between the club and Rabiot’s representatives.

One destination that seems unlikely for Rabiot is Tottenham Hotspur as he believes the north London club are “below” his level.
