Arsenal have held talks with Paris Saint-Germain over potential deals for Adrien Rabiot and Edinson Cavani, talkSPORT has learnt.
Arsene Wenger is still looking to boost his squad this summer having so far only brought in Petr Cech from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
The Gunners boss has long held an interest in Karim Benzema and has been heavily linked with a move for the Real Madrid hitman in recent weeks.
But talkSPORT has been told that a deal for Benzema is not on the cards, with Real Madrid not planning to sell the 27-year-old.
Wenger is instead understood to be looking at PSG’s frontman Cavani, who is is reportedly desperate to leave the French champions this summer.
Arsenal have not made a bid for the Uruguyan but they have approached PSG to discuss his availability.
The Gunners have elso enquired about Cavani’s teammate Rabiot.
The 20-year-old midfielder is rated highly in his homeland but has struggled for regular game time under Laurent Blanc and is believed to be keen to move on.
